WHO AND WHAT IS KNIGHTS' QUEST?
Knights' Quest Ministries (KQM) is dedicated to addressing the unique problems posed to individuals and families by the advent of our high-tech, ever-changing society. The primary focus of Knights' Quest has been the damage being done to individuals and families by Internet-based pornography, online predators, and the new "cyber-sexuality". This focus has led to the development of our PURITY AND INTERNET SAFETY BOOT CAMP which addresses the dangers posed by the Internet and modern media in the area of safety and moral purity.

The Ministry's name is based upon the characteristics of the Quests of a Knight of Olde. The primary characteristics of such quests were:
  1. Dedication to the program of the knight's Sovereign.
  2. A clear goal or mission.
  3. A desire to continue until the mission is accomplished.
  4. The chivalric behavior of the Knight, dedicated to honor and integrity.

Buddy Knight is the Director and principal speaker for all KQM seminars. Buddy graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1981 with a degree in Systems Engineering. During his Naval career he served in various active and reserve units including attack and reconnaissance squadrons, major intelligence centers, and on Carrier Group Battle Staff. He was recalled to active duty for OPERATIONS DESERT SHIELD/STORM and was medically retired from the U.S. Naval Reserves in 1995 at the rank of Lieutenant Commander.  His duties took him to Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Central America.  During his Naval Career he received four personal decorations.

After leaving active Naval service in 1987, Buddy worked for Texas Instruments and Raytheon Systems Company on the Paveway Laser Guided Weapons Programs from 1987 –1999. Buddy held various positions during this time, including Quality/Reliability Engineer, Six-Sigma Consultant, Supplier Manager, and Engineering Services Program Manager.

Buddy received his Masters of Divinity (with Biblical Languages) Degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2001. Within his degree he completed a concentration in the field of Marriage and Family Counseling. As an ordained Minister of the Gospel, Buddy has served both as pastor and as a minister-at-large.

Knights' Quest Ministries was founded in 2001 as a result of the Lord’s leading during Buddy's 2000-2001 Field Theology Seminary Classes. During this period, Buddy met many parents who had discovered that their children were into unhealthy uses of the Internet. He has also counseled and worked with adults whose lives have been adversely affected by issues involving online sexuality.  In 2005, after 4 years of confirming growth and opportunity, Knights' Quest incorporated as a Texas Non-Profit Corporation with an initial 3-person Board of Directors.

In addition to developing Knights' Quest's discipleship materials, Buddy has also written numerous articles for regional and national magazines such as Lifeway Publishing's PARENTING magazine.

Buddy lives in Fort Worth, TX with Jane, his wife of 26+ years, and three of their four children, ages 12-19 (the eldest is married and lives with her husband in Seattle, WA). He is active in his local Church on many levels.  He is also a cancer survivor (Hodgkin's Disease, 2003), and is on the Troop Committee of his younger son's Boy Scout Troop.  He also enjoys movies, reading, American karate (Gold belt), and computer strategy/flight simulation games.

Knights' Quest Ministries, Inc. is a Texas Non-Profit Organization with Federal 501(3)c status.
